Why not just use a subscription platform?
Often you should — for a standard shop with standard rules, £68 a month is sensible and we will say so. We are for the year the rules stop being standard: rounds that are yours, shares released against evidence, trade prices with a cut-off, or an accounting integration nothing off-the-shelf offers.
Who owns the code?
You do. It is delivered in your repository, documented, with no licence fee and no per-order commission. If you later hire someone else, they can pick it up — that is the point of handing it over.
What if we already have a developer or agency?
Then we can work alongside them, or audit and hand them a prioritised list. Plenty of our best work is "tell us what is wrong, we will do the parts you do not want".
How much can you take on?
One senior engineer starts, and vetted developers are added as the work grows — including a team for a larger build once the first module proves itself. What stays constant is the fixed scope and the fixed price.
Why no deposit?
Because a grower who has been burned by a website is not afraid of the price, they are afraid of paying for something that never works. You see it running on a staging link on your own products before the first invoice.
Do you understand farming, or just software?
We know the mechanics: picking days, vans, substitutions, a crop that fails, cash before harvest. The agri platform we built handles exactly those, and we will ask you how your week actually runs before proposing anything.
What happens after launch?
Thirty days of fixes are included. After that, most clients want small seasonal changes — that is £780 a year, not a retainer you forget about.
